A laser pipe welding machine is a continuous production device for metal tubes that employs laser welding technology. It is primarily used to weld the edges of metal strips after they have been rolled and formed by rollers, fusing them together with a laser beam to create a continuous longitudinal seam, ultimately producing metal tubes that meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Laser pipe welding machines employ different welding heat sources and process methods. The laser energy is concentrated in the welding area, which helps control the heat-affected zone and is suitable for specific thin-walled tubes, precision metal pipes, and other products that meet process requirements. The actual welding quality depends on the material condition, forming accuracy, welding parameters, seam preparation, and the overall configuration of the production line.
A complete laser pipe welding machine typically consists of units for decoiling, steel strip guiding and forming, laser welding, cooling, diameter setting, length-cutting, and finished product collection. Based on production requirements, additional functions such as weld inspection, weld area protection treatment, and automated control can be evaluated for configuration.
This laser pipe welding machine is suitable for manufacturing enterprises that require continuous production of metal welded tubes, and can be used for the production of furniture tubes, structural tubes, industrial tubes, and other metal tube products. The specific processable materials, diameter range, and wall thickness range need to be determined based on the equipment design and welding process.

Step 1: Coil loading and decoiling
Metal steel rolls are fitted to the roll-rolling apparatus and the steel belt introduction and orientation are completed according to production requirements. Depending on the production line configuration, steel belt chopping and welding devices can be added to connect before and after steel rolls, reducing the impact of rolling changes on continuous production.
Step 2: Steel strip guide and roll forming
After the steel belt enters the forming area, it is gradually bent through multiple sets of rollers, so that the sides of the steel belt approach and form a tube-like structure to be soldered. A stable molding state and seam alignment are an important basis for subsequent laser welding.
Step 3: Laser longitudinal welding
The laser system concentrates the energy on the tube seam position so that the joined metal edges are melted to form a continuous longitudinal weld. Welding parameters need to be adjusted according to the material, wall thickness, molding state and target production speed.
Step 4: Cooling and weld treatment
The pipe after welding is cooled according to the process requirements. Depending on product quality and surface requirements, suitable weld treatment, online inspection or weld area protection treatment devices can be configured.
Step 5: Sizing and straightening
The pipe enters the fixed diameter and orthogonal area, and the shape size and linearity are adjusted through the corresponding roller system so that the finished product meets the specifications required for subsequent use or further processing.
Step 6: Fixed length cutting and finished product collection
Finish the cutting according to the set length and organize the finished product through a cutting stand or other collection device. After production, the pipe dimensions, weld appearance and related quality indicators can be inspected according to the product standard.

Laser welding can achieve a more concentrated heat input by focusing the laser beam to the seam area. For process-compliant metal pipes, this approach helps control weld morphology and thermal impact areas, and is suitable for production scenarios that require weld quality and product consistency.
The laser pipe welding machines connects steel band forming with the longitudinal welding process, enabling the pipe to be processed along a continuous production path. Combined with suitable loading, forming and cutting configurations, it reduces duplication of movement between processes and helps companies optimize production organization.
By rationally designing the forming rollers, sizing units and related assembly, the laser pipe welding machine can be configured for different tube specifications. The production capacity of round, square, rectangular and other types of pipes depends on the line structure, mold design and specific machine type, and is suitable for customized evaluation based on the target product series.
Welding quality depends not only on the laser system, but also on the edge state of the steel belt, forming stability, seam alignment, and cooling and sizing after welding. Designing these links as a complete production line helps to control the size of the finished product and the consistency of the weld.
Depending on capacity, manual configuration and plant layout, suitable feed stock, steel belt connection, online testing, fixed length cutting and finished collection schemes can be chosen. The degree of automation should be consistent with the target pipe specifications, production pace and budget, rather than pursuing a certain configuration alone.
For materials such as galvanized steel belts that have requirements for surface corrosion resistance, welding may affect the protective layer near the seam. Depending on the material and the finished product use, it may be assessed whether a zinc patch or other suitable post-treatment device is required to meet the corresponding corrosion requirements.

Metal furniture manufacturing
It is used in the production of table and chair frames, bed racks, shelves, display racks and other metal furniture pipes. The specific tubing dimensions, surface quality and weld requirements should be determined according to the product design.
Construction & Steel Structure Industry
It is suitable for the production of parts of building structural pipes, guard rails pipes, support pipes and other metal structural components. The equipment configuration needs to match the strength, size and usage requirements of the target pipe.
Industrial Equipment and Machinery Manufacturing
It can be used in the manufacture of mechanical equipment frames, supporting components, metal joints and other suitable pipes to provide pipe feed stock for subsequent cutting, welding and assembly processes.
Automotive and parts manufacturing
Used in the production of some automotive-related metal pipes and structural parts. Products involving safety performance or specific industry standards need to develop a process plan based on the quality of the material, the quality of welds and the inspection requirements.
Storage and commercial display systems
Metal pipe production is used for some storage racks, shelves and display systems, helping pipe manufacturers organize continuous processing according to product line.
General metal pipe processing
For other metal pipes requiring continuous forming and vertical welding, the suitability of laser pipe welding machines can be assessed based on material characteristics, product dimensions and target capacity.
